Description

At Pica Pica Maize Kitchen, it's all about the corn, of course. This is one of the few places in the city where people with gluten allergies can order anything on the menu. Try the soul-warming soups, yuca fries, or an empanada. The main attraction at this Venezuelan sandwich shop, however, is the maize-based bread: the maize'which (sweet), arepa (savory), or the cachapa (crepe). You can stuff your choice with many ingredients, including chorizo, tofu, and plantains.
