The Piano Warehouse, which is located in Colorado Springs's arts district, is the place to go if you need a piano rebuilt or restored (the Warehouse specialize in old-world shellacking and varnish finishes, plus ivory replacement and action regulation). You can also get help moving or tuning your piano, and if you don't even have a piano, well, the Piano Warehouse can help there, too: You can purchase vintage Steinway, Chickering, Knabe, Mason & Hamlin, Baldwin and other top brands refurbished, plus new pianos, keyboards and sound systems. And not just that: The Warehouse hosts semi-regular, all-ages shows whose cover donations go directly to the bands. While a lot of those shows are punk rock, the venue welcomes performances from a full range of underground musicians. And it's truly a piano warehouse, with the bands setting up on one side of the spacious room and the audience mingling amid the models. We can make beautiful music together.
