Phoenix New Times' Description
Around for more than 80 years in various manifestations and originally the city morgue, this downtown landmark popular with business types and government movers and shakers was purchased in early 2011 by the Bidwill family, owners of the Arizona Cardinals. Featuring traditional and upscale tavern-style dishes, a few with a Southwestern twist, served up in a sophisticated setting, best bets are the Cuban and prime rib French dip sandwiches served with sides of Tom’s Famous 1929 Chili or the mac ‘n’ cheese; the Diablo chicken wing appetizer; and the meaty fish and chips.
Tips from foursquare
Went for lunch. Fish and chips was really good. Another at the table had the French dip and really they really enjoyed that.
Has redeemed itself nicely. Very nice food is amazing and servers are friendly
Food was cold... 22 dollars for my plate. Think they just reheated the same one and and sent it back to me still cold :(
They have the best onion soup I've ever had.
These guys are amazing. Excellent customer service from Dave and Lahela. The burgers are great too.
