Tips from foursquare

  • HISTORY on 04/22/10

This unique building was built in 1930 by Boyce Luther Gulley for his daughter, Mary. It's built from a wide range of recycled materials. Electricity and plumbing weren't added until 1992.

    Fun old house. Great tour.

I miss Mary Lou. The tour guides are passionate, and have a wealth of knowledge about Mary Lou, her father, and the place. If you are visiting Phoenix, this is a must go!

  • Built for a daughter who longed for a castle more permanent than those built in the sand at the beach, Mystery Castle is a wondrous work of folk-art architecture.

Price increase to $10 for adults!
