Phoenix New Times' Description

Owner Matt Diamond might've honed his chops at some of the Valley's best wine bars, but he and his wife Courtney decided to call their restaurant an "ale house" instead, offering five AZ craft brews among the eight on tap, along with 20 bottles and cans. There's still wine, of course, as well as a full menu of craveable sandwiches and salads, a killer hot dog called The Coronado Coney, and even a Stone Imperial Stout float for dessert. Vintage hip-hop and soul tracks, plus the red brick bungalow setting, make it a cozy CenPho watering hole.

Scrumtrulescent! The food in this place is fresh and paired well. I love the location too - an old brick house. Cool place to hang on a weekend night!

One of the best happy hours in Phoenix! Craft beer for $2.50 a pint! Who beats that? And the food is great too.

2010 Best of Phoenix Winner: Best Hot Dog! Coronado Coney is one top dog, a plump, juicy all-beef frank from Schreiner's Sausage, tucked into a soft, dense sourdough bun, lightly toasted.
