Phoenix New Times' Description

As the name would suggest, pho is the house specialty at this budget-friendly neighborhood spot, with quite a few different variations. But because there are more than 160 items on the menu, it's worth it to branch out. We're especially fond of do-it-yourself dishes like shrimp paste grilled on sugarcane, which come with fixins to make your own summer rolls, and raw beef tenderloin that you sizzle on a tabletop grill. You won't need a huge wallet full of cash to feast at at Pho Thanh, just a lot of hungry friends.

When I get hungry for Vietnamese soup this is where I go. They also have a green drink that is not only good for you but it tastes good and hydrates you in the Arizona heat. Don't forget to try their custard with a sauce that is similar to flan. Havn't tried anything here that I didn't like.

I love Pho Thanh. I started going there when it first opened - just happened upon it - and I am grateful! The food it delicious, and it is unbelieveably reasonable. There have been weeks when I have gone 3 or 4 times; it's one of... More >>

Goi cuõn (shrimp spring roll) very good and packed with shrimp. I am impressed!

With Pho, it's all about the broth. This place has it. Don't listen to these rookies that come here for the first time and act like they're a pro. "child please"

If you really appreciate Pho, come here. I haven't found Vietnamese food this authentic tasting since I've been to Vietnam. Great flavors, great prices. Get goi cuon, bun bo hue and cafe sua da. :-)

Pho Thai is $4.50. And is delicious and awesome and filling.

Banh Mi for less than $3 and Pho from $4-7 makes this place a steal. Try the #59 Broken Rice Special, it is divine, especially if you want to get a little taste of everything for only $6.95.
