Phoenix New Times's Description
This burger joint is known far and wide for its tasty, grilled-to-order hamburgers, but did someone mention peanuts? Yes, we did. They're everywhere, and you're invited to munch on them while you wait for your order to be filled. Whoever heard of such a thing? It's what got us going back to Five Guys in the first place, because it's so sweet and because we love us some free goobers. But it's the Cajun seasoning on the French fries that we go for now. (Here's a helpful hint: Even the small order of fries is big enough to share; that's how generous Five Guys are!) We love that we can have whatever we want on our burgers (even peanuts-but who would order that?), and that the counter staff is so friendly. Don't believe us that this is a great place for lunch or dinner? Check out the new Zagat Guide, which gives this place a giant thumbs up, or the many rave reviews posted all over the walls of this crazy cool burger palace.
Tips from foursquare
Two people could probably share one serving of fries
Beware... They do not validate parking! Boycott them until they do!
Nothing fancy here. Burgers and fries are cooked to order and served in grease-stained bags. It's loud. It can be crowded. But if you’re downtown and hungry, it may be exactly what you’re looking for.
Best burger in cityscape. A little slow but still a great burger. Check out their new beverage machine
