Culinary Dropout at The Yard
Phoenix, AZ 85014
Phoenix New Times' Description
We usually go to Culinary Dropout at The Yard to take advantage of the ping-pong tables, corn hole, shuffleboard, and 1,400 square feet of patio space. Unlike some Phoenix spots, this is a bar where you can take anyone -- your co-worker, parents, picky-eater friends -- to have a decent drink and a good time. When the weather allows the covered outdoor patio offers games and comfortable seats that lend themselves perfectly to drinking the day away in good company. You'll have to valet park (it's free but bring cash to tip), but by the time you've had a few drinks you probably should just leave the driving to someone else anyway.

food was excellent !!! the servers really made a great impression , however the host staff...we arrived on a saturday night (which i have to say is not recommended without a reservation) with that said and also if you don't have deep pockets,so to speak, we asked how long the wait was and the hostess said 45-60 min...ok thats fine, i we didnt mind waiting cause the food is excellent , nonetheless ,another patron came up and i was in ear shot and sight, the patron asked how long the wait was and same answer was said to him, but he handed the hostess $20, and guess who got in first...i understand that people need money and opportunity of making a buck is prevalent these days, but she did it in front of me and my party. so before we could take up a 'collection' for this person, our party was called. i didn't get her name but it was on 9/7 around 8pm.
