  • DJ Fernandes has made his mark on Phoenix with eateries (Tuck Shop, Astor House, Vovomeena) known for lovely interiors and delicious food. Lucky for us, he's equally obsessed with coffee. From locally roasted ROCC beans to a unique Japanese Cold Brew method, Fernandes' establishments know how to do java.

What sets Astor House and Vovomeena apart from other coffee...

  • Typically Sunday school students are impeccably dressed goody-two-shoes types who love sucking up to their teachers. At Bliss/reBAR’s version of Sunday School, it will be tough to top the teacher’s digs, as drag queen Barbra Seville will bartend and lead rounds of trivia and pop quiz sessions. Sucking up will get you absolutely nowhere, unless you order the custom Teacher’s...

The Vig Uptown has a great vibe to it. Just went for a low-key birthday celebration on a Sunday night, and it was perfect. The food variety on the menu meant there was something to make everyone in our big group happy, and after we were done eating it was nice to hang out, drink some beers, and play bocce ball and bean bag toss on the indoor/outdoor patio. I've...

We arrived shortly after 8:30pm to realized they closed at 9:00. No worries as they were quick to say, “Come on in!”

Prior to our arrival we didn’t know if Green was a sit-down or counter service. Upon entering we found that it would be a counter service experience. Nice and laid back. I immediately loved the flow of the restaurant with the painted wooden...
