  • Imagine how fun it would be to live in a Stray Cats music video. The retro pairings of pompadour-wearing guys and gals in poodle skirts innocently sharing a milkshake until they need to prove themselves in a hot-rod race sounds like a blast. Of course, real life is nothing like Grease, though aspiring Sandys and Dannys can show their stuff at the monthly First Friday Sock Hop. After a free...

  • Eating at Pane Bianco, superstar chef Chris Bianco's sister restaurant to Pizzeria Bianco, is a lot like the scene in L.A. Confidential where Veronica Lake look-alike prostitute Lynn Bracken (Kim Basinger) shows Bud White (Russell Crowe) to her real bedroom and not the grand boudoir where her main business is done: It's more intimate, there's no rush, and you get the same high-quality...

Then we had Teppanyaki, which...

    12/22/11

All of my friends rave about the fish and chips, but I'm not a super big fan of the fish. The shrimp is fantastic and the crabettes are really good too. You can't really go wrong with a monster burger either. Bring cash, cuz it is all they take.

Scallops were excellent both times I've gone, and the ahi was perfectly cooked. Great atmosphere and imaginative cocktails.
