  • Be forewarned: The grim reaper shall cometh to the East Valley forthwith, and when thine angel of death heaves the mighty blade of the scythe, it shall collect the life of Monsterland. The hybrid haunted house, eatery, and nightclub at 18 West Main Street in Mesa will head for the hereafter because its ownership decided to pull the plug and close its doors after this weekend. • Imagine how fun it would be to live in a Stray Cats music video. The retro pairings of pompadour-wearing guys and gals in poodle skirts innocently sharing a milkshake until they need to prove themselves in a hot-rod race sounds like a blast. Of course, real life is nothing like Grease, though aspiring Sandys and Dannys can show their stuff at the monthly First Friday Sock Hop. After a free...

My wife and I had a 3 course NYE dinner here. The service was excellent. The food, amazing. We had probably the best scallops we have ever had in Arizona. The lentil and sausage soup was also wonderful. Combined with some very unique cocktails, it was a great date night! We plan on returning on a regular evening to explore the traditional menu a bit.

Great place to order a few slices of pizza or a burger with chips and a drink for relatively cheap. This particular restaurant only has a handful of tables to sit down at so try to avoid the peak hours if you plan on eating in. The staff here is very friendly.

Where I lived growing up, the only ice cream place we had was a DQ and that's where we would always retreat during the summer. Sitting on milk crates in the grass, we'd eat our cherry dipped vanilla cones and all the different flavors of blizzards. Now that I live in Phoenix I have various options for my vanilla cones and floats, but DQ will always have a...
