Phoenix New Times' Description
While meat is certainly the main event at BLT Steak, the Scottsdale outpost of French chef Laurent Tourondel's successful empire, eating here is a memorable experience from the first nibble of warm chicken liver pté to the last bite of gooey espresso-chocolate chip cookies (both gratis). It's hip but comfortable, with amiable, attentive service and lots of thoughtful touches - like the famous freebie Gruyère popovers - along with top-notch steaks.

Fantastic food and friendly, accommodating service. Impressive inside decor and a relaxing setting outside is the perfect way to end a week with friends, old and new. I shared (what felt like) all of the appetizers - which were delicious - with some friends on the front terrace at dusk. The location is great since you can admire the local geography as much as you can people watch. I highly recommend it.
Tips from foursquare
Get the Onion rings for a starter...seriously light, tempura light. Ladies, Matt - one of the servers won't disappoint!
Happy Hour 5 @ 5 from 5pm-7pm $5 glasses of wine, prohibition-era cocktails and appetizers
2010 Best of Phoenix Winner: Best Upscale Steakhouse! Exquisite steaks, served with a choice of luscious sauces. But there are also dishes like sautéed Dover sole, juicy veal chops, and tuna tartare.
The cocktails are fantastic, as is the steak (don't know personally). Be sure to check out their $5 happy hour menu--the cocktails are extraordinary!
Try the Cowboy Rib-Eye.. It is big but it is totally delicious and tasty.. Give it a shot and you will not regret it!
