Phoenix New Times' Description

Looking for a light, nutritious meal? Look again. This is food you want to eat before you start a one-month fast. Huge helpings of hearty, tasty German fare, like jaegerschnitzel, rindsroulade, and bratwurst. And wash it all down with strong German brews on tap. If you still have any lebensraum, check out the palatschinken (lingonberry-filled crepes) for dessert.

The food here was decent, nothing to rave about. The atmosphere was a little strange. I know it is east Mesa, but the place looked like it was designed in the 80s and didn't have any improvements since. About half way through our meal someone had to be forcefully removed from the bar area.

Very authentic and super tasty! Locals love the sausage sampler.

This place is a bit pricier than I expected but I didn't regret it. Wonderful German food. Don't ask the waiter what "fat" is in German unless you want to seem immature; learned that the hard way.
