Phoenix New Times' Description
Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. was the first craft brewery in Gilbert. The company was founded by friends Jonathan Buford, Tim Isaac, and Patrick Ware, who started brewing beer in a garage in 2010 and got their business off the ground thanks to successful Kickstarter campaign in 2012. We've already been impressed with their unique brews, including the Picacho Pecan Pie Brown Ale they produced in the fall -- made with six whole pecan pies, maple syrup, vanilla beans, and handcracked pecans. Plus the AWBC crew is always up to something new, so you can bet there's a new brew just around the corner.

Outstanding new brewery for the valley. Great beers, great food. The Refuge IPA is one of the best IPA's I've tried in a while. Cheers folks!
Gilbert's FIRST brewery hits it out of the park on its first day!
The women's restroom smells like grilled meat... As it should.
