Description

Phoenix New Times' Description

This downtown gastropub, built in a ’70s-era block building with a spacious room, long bar, and outdoor patio, is more successful for its suds than its grub. Boasting 31 rotating craft brews on tap – think local favorites, seasonals, and all-over IPAs – beer enthusiasts would be hard-pressed not to find something to their liking. But when it comes to the beer-friendly fare, many of the dishes seem too ambitious, often have preparation issues, and rarely deliver on their expected tastes. Relatively safe bets are the flatbread pizzas, spud tacos, and salads. For sweet tooths, there’s the alehouse’s version of Pop Tarts.

I was there last weekend and I think I discovered my favorite beer. It's called banana bread beer. Yes, Banana Bread! It literally tastes exactly like banana bread. Will return for more!

This place is incredible. I was playing golf at Papago Golf Course, and figured it was the closest I would be to downtown for a while. I headed over and could barely find the place. It reminded me of the Three Floyds brewery in Munster, Indiana. I walked in, and was blown away by their beer list. They had Deconstruction and Firestone DBA on tap... incredible selection. They also... More >>

Flights are an excellent way to taste what's on tap without committing to a full serving. $9 for 6-3oz tastes.

Kori is the best bartender ever!
