Translated to "Noodle Soup Native Village," this Vietnamese restaurant specializes in pho (the aforementioned soup) in all its cauldron-size and vast-ingredient glory. This is first evident on the door, on which is printed a steaming bowl. Most of the pho options involve beef, such as the bo vien (meatball) and the tai chin gau gan sach (steak, fat brisket, tendon and tripe). Of course, the kitchen offers more than piping hot bowls of slurp. There are sandwiches, like the house special bahn mi thit nuong, fried noodle dishes, fried rice platters as well as various soups with egg or rice noodles. The latter can be super-sized for a mere dollar. The stripped-down, no-frills dining room only accentuates the bounty that is the kitchen's offerings.
