When you move to San Francisco, everyone you meet recommends Philz for an unfussy cup of coffee without parallel. A handful of branches have sprouted up around the Bay Area, but the original is at 24th and Folsom ―a collection of comfy couches and a high counter where a regiment of baristas dispenses coffee. The signature at Philz is a creamy, bold Turkish-style blend fragrant with mint. Since each order is made, as the store's motto goes, "one cup at a time," be prepared to wait a while for yours.
