Equal parts neighborhood dive bar and hipster hang, Phils features cheap drinks poured hard. Depending on the evening, youll encounter DJs spinning everything from hair metal power ballads to electro-funk. Its namesake owner who also works as a bartender has a way of graciously making the lively mix of patrons feel welcome and has a reputation for joining in on the fun. He also has a soft spot for the downtrodden (he lets his bouncer park his RV in the back lot), though hes known to use a firm hand with rabble that tries to stir up the sort of trouble that slows the pouring of libations.
