Description

While many of Peso's patrons are busier feasting on the sexy singles opportunities than on the nuevo-Mexican fare, the Queen Anne mainstay doesn't coast on atmosphere and well-mixed margaritas alone. The crowd, heavy on the preternaturally tan post-Greek system contingent, goes for the carnitas (tender sautéed pork cubes in a sauce only Seattleites would deem spicy) and scrumptious grilled prawn fajitas, while the spicy ahi tuna and cucumber tostada is a perennial favorite. It ain't down-home Gordito's, and it's certainly not the place to go for muy auténtico menudo, but Peso's is sure to satisfy those who want a savory something to go with their cocktail.

And even the music playing overhead is sexually charged (e.g., Mickey Avalon's "My Dick"). Sure, plenty of other bars in the city ar... More »

Peso's Kitchen and Lounge is hopping at night, so it's hardly the sort of place you'd associate with being up and at 'em before noon. But el desayuno at Peso's, served seven days a week from 9 a.m. on, is surprisingly good, thanks to one key ingre... More »

Their Dungeness crab, avocado and roasted corn Benedict will cure any hangover. Plus their margaritas are strong and amazing. Nuff' said.
