Take me out to the ballgame, indeed. This stunning stadium is on a short list of nationally acclaimed state-of-the-art spring training facilities. There’s hardly a bad seat in the entire ballpark, including those on the grass (although there’s little in the way of shade—desert visitors, beware!). Located in Peoria, right around the corner from Arrowhead Town Centre Shopping Mall, the complex consists of a main baseball stadium and a dozen regulation-sized practice fields. One of five facilities to host the Arizona Fall League games, Peoria Sports Complex is also the spring training home of the Cactus League’s Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. For people who care more about suds than sports, the stadium has a decent selection of craft beers, and munchies—frozen yogurt, flat bread, funnel cakes, kettle corn, gyros, and pizza—abound at various food stands.
