Description

A friendly staff and an easygoing atmosphere make Pearl's one of Houston's favorite soul food restaurants. The wood-paneled walls, fake hanging plants and stained-glass light fixtures make the dining room look like an expanded breakfast nook. But it's the huge portions of seemingly homemade food that really make you feel like a guest at Sunday dinner.

    I had not gone to this resturant in over 10 years. I was in the area and when I realized where I was, I had to get me some chitterlings, black-eyed peas, and dirty rice. I have never been so disappointed. I got home with my plate the chitterlings tasted burned, the dirty rice had burnt beef in it. I called the resturant back to resturant to explain my concerns and the person answering the phone ask me to bring the food back and I told her I would not be in the area for another week she asked me to freeze the plate and return it.
