If there's one accurate statement to be made about this stylish restaurant and bar located at the corner of Third Avenue and Drinkwater in Scottsdale, it's that the sushi takes a backseat to the scene. Signature rolls loaded with ingredients frequently go the way of outrageous and unremarkable, and the more recognizable, less flashy traditional rolls, sashimi, and sushi, risk the probability of technical difficulties like tough nori. For better dishes, stick with the new-style sashimi, Korean pork tacos, and edamame beans tossed in soy sauce and garlic. Black-and-white images of naked women and sex-fueled names of signature rolls like "The Pearl Necklace" and "Pocket Rocket" are strictly PG-13 and are part of the restaurant’s rep, but there is a nice patio scene and happy hour is all day every day, so sake bombs away.
