Description

Pat's Tap, the new gastropub from restaurateur Kim Bartmann (Barbette, Red Stag, etc.), offers plenty for diners as well as drinkers. You'll find a killer roast chicken and other entrees, but your best bets are usually from the snack and burger side of the menu. Duck burgers, goat cheese fritters, and other goodies pair perfectly with an exceptional list of microbrews. Bring a roll of quarters for skee ball or a game of pool and don’t miss the late-night happy hour where appetizers like pork belly skewers, fried pickles, zucchini cakes, and the fabulous cheese curds are just $5.

  • 2012 | Best Restaurant for Dinner With Your Parents

Your folks are visiting, and you want to treat them (and yourself) to something a little more...palatable than the fare at the T.G.I. Friday's by their hotel, but nothing too adventurous. Why not challenge them to a game of Skee-Ball and dinner at the new Nicollet Avenue gastropub Pat's Tap? The pub was inspired by co-owner Kim Bartmann's own dear mom, Pat, so that's a good sign. Chances are your own folks will be less impressed by the locally sourced, organic ingredients on Pat's Tap's menu... More »
