It was the delicious gnocchi that got us going back again and again to this tucked-away downtown restaurant. Light and fluffy, like eating a cloud that?s been tossed in fennel and sausage?perfect. The Pasta Carbonara is the best we?ve had this side of Jersey, and little details like the roasted red pepper that comes with the Sopresatta Panini make this a destination worth returning to. PastaBAR?s Caprese Salad is made fresh with Buffalo Mozzarella, basil pesto, heirloom tomatoes, and anchovies, and is best eaten Italian style: after your pasta, that is. Whatever order you eat your food in, at PastaBAR it?s always delicious.
