If Cheers were an Italian restaurant, this would be it. Visit once and you're a welcome guest. Visit twice, and you're family. Simple but zesty dishes served in a comfy bar setting include spaghetti and meatballs, meatball sandwiches, lasagna and such.
I love this place. They have two restaurants. One a sit down place with the better menu, fine atmosphere and higher prices. The other is like a pizza joint, take out, plastic cups, serve your own fountain drinks, delivery. Much shorter menu but still fabulous food.
Pasta Brioni is by far my favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. My family has been going to Brioni's for the last 8 years or so and they know all the family members by name. I remeber Jason and Geno, so ask for them if they are still part of the Brioni family. The entire waitstaff are beautiful, tall, dark and handsome Italian men that will flirt with the ladies at your table, but also give you the BEST service. While there is plenty of eye candy, the food speaks for itself. There are always nightly specials. I love their caesar salad, ministrone soup, penne vodka, veal parmesan or any of the specials they are featuring that night. The desserts are to die for as well. I recommended that my girlfriend host a bachelorette party there they gave the women red carpet treatement, not to mention special cream filled pastries for dessert. The bar on the other side of the restaurant is always hopping and there are no stairs, so grandparents can enjoy Brioni's too. I LOVE Pasta Brioni!
If you are looking for great Italian food, Pasta Brioni is the place! They have amazing specials, great wine selections and fantastic service! A great place for dinner with the family or a romantic night on the town.
There are sandwiches, and then there are sandwiches. And then there's Pasta Brioni's meatball-and-bread concoction, which, while billed as a sandwich, is actually an entire meal that just happens to be tucked into a roll. The sandwich is huge, of course. But it's a gentle giant, showcasing the old-fashioned Italian cooking that's largely disappeared in the era of cheese-stuffed pizza crusts. The sauce is mellow, not too spicy, and not so soggy it makes the bread fall apart. The bread... More »
