I've been to most of Pangea World Theater's productions over the past 14 years since it was first created by Dipankar Mukhergee, Artistic Director and Meena Natarajan, Executive/Literary Director. My sister, Dr. June La Valleur is past Chair of the board and my husband, Arnie Bigbee, is the current Board Chair. I have been asked to Produce the one-woman play, Now That She's Gone, written and performed by Ellen Snortland. Ellen has performed this play from coast to coast with fabulous reviews. The play was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in Drama in 2009. Here's what Patti, a marriage and family therapist wrote after seeing the play: "The first time I saw "Now That She's Gone," I took my sister and we bonded over it. I loved it so much, I dragged my husband who was reluctant. He laughed so much, he was glad I "made" him go. But what I really think proves the universality of NTSG is that I literally dragged my son who is 21 on our monthly mother/son outing. He enjoyed it so much that we sat in the car in front of the theater afterwards and talked for 3 hours about our relationship, motherhood, growing up and some of the things he'd been afraid to tell me. Now, THAT'S a great evening of theater." http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/124620 or call 1800-838-3006 Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $15, students and seniors $12 Questions contact me at 612.578.2422 or barbara.lavalleur@gmail.com
