Palisade is a great place to take out-of-towners and aged aunties (especially if they're paying): It's got its own inland sea with a bridge, a waterfall, and tide pools, as well as an unbelievable view of the city and the Sound. The menu favors grilling: Try the spit-roasted prime rib and grilled prawns combo, or anything alder- or cedar-planked.

    My wife and I eat here every Christmas eve and we enjoy it everytime. The salmon on a cedar plank is awesome. Sunday brunch kicks butt too. The banana macadamia nut pancakes just melt in your mouth. Great place.

    I used to go here for school dances growing up - the ambiance is wonderful with a stream flowing through the restaurant right next to you!
