Real Irish hospitality is on tap for visitors to this traditional Irish pub in the Gardens, tucked on the north side of the Publix plaza. It's got a neighborly feel, with longtime employees helping owner Ken Wade spread the Irish cheer in the warm, wood-paneled eatery with indoor, bar, and patio seating. You'll rub elbows with golf pros and politicos as well as regular Joes at the cozy bar, where they toss back a pint or two. The food here is not an afterthought to the drinks. The menu features Erie traditions like filling pot pies -- cottage, shepherd's, steak and mushroom, or fisherman's versions: bangers and mash, salmon "leap," and fish and chips. Then there's shrimp and scallop ala vodka, New York strip steak, diver scallops with king crab risotto, chicken Parmesan, and three-nut crusted dolphin. A variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads completes the menu. Live entertainment is featured weekly, and the place rocks all night on March 17 for one of the largest St. Pat's Day parties in the county.
