It's hard to find sustenance and camaraderie in this town between two and six in the morning, but Orphan Andy's fills the wee-small-hours void with hearty power-up platters, a matchless Castro location, and a convivial (to say the least) clientele. Open-faced sandwiches, thick burgers, pork chops and eggs, and a wide array of American breakfast favorites fill the belly, while the retro-cool red-vinyl milieu lightens the spirit and the friendly service soothes the soul. (The food and diner ambience are worth experiencing during the daylight hours, too.)
