OC Weekly's Description

Vine is an epicurean stunner, a snug eatery that attracts South Countians seeking a joyous repast. It focuses on California wine-country cuisine, meaning alchemies of seasonal flavors and ingredients that are as nuanced and numerous as the vineyards of Napa: pumpkin ravioli appetizers, sea scallops with fava beans, and other assorted meal miracles prepared by owner/chef Justin Monson.

Tips from foursquare

One of the fanciest eateries in San Clemente - go for one of the fish dishes or even shell fish - best oysters I've ever had! Another fun note - they have wine on tap!

Ask for vegan options: the chef grills a tasty plate of seasoned Brussels sprouts, pearl onions, cauli, carrots, mushrooms with a pomme frites side. Table bread has milk so ask for French baguette.

Amazing menu. Order the chocolate souffle at the same time as your dinner entrees. The Lamb shank, panzenella salad, and halibut were all amazing. Fantastic wine and beer list, too!

  • Lacy T. on 12/27/11

The food is fan-flipping-tastic!! High five to the chef.

  • Scott M. on 11/17/11

Best kept lunch secret in town!
