OC Weekly's Description

When Oprah mentioned The Counter on her show, it sent sales skyward at the original Santa Monica store, paving the way for franchising. Now, with its first Orange County outlet open in Irvine, we can design our own burger towers that we can't possibly put our mouths around, just like our L.A. cousins.

Veggie Burger is the best here. You can order it in 1/3, 1/2, or 1 Pound sizes in different protein forms- my friends say that the beef and turkey are delicious. You order everything on your burger ahead of time by marking up a huge pad of paper. You can be as creative and as adventurous as you like.

Ever since Oprah plugged it, the Counter has been a runaway hit in LA. And chances are you've already been to the first OC branch in Irvine. Get the 50/50 fries. Eat. Enjoy. Repeat.

What are some of your fave burger toppings? We are trying the roasted garlic aioli.

  • Gilt City on 04/29/11

With four types of patties, 12 types of cheese, 33 toppings, 21 sauces and six types of bun, exactly 312,120 different burgers combos are possible. (House-made guac and tangy tzatziki are two faves.)

If you get the opportunity, try the Parmesan Fries off their Market Selection menu...Mmm!

  • Brian F. on 03/27/10

Awesome custom made burgers. Choose your meat, size, type of bun, and choose from doezens of choices of sauces, cheeses, add-ons, etc. Get your burger any way you want it and they are incredible. Onio
