Description

OC Weekly's Description

Seemingly half of Little Gaza visits Kareem's three times a day, taking comfort in one of the few Orange County Middle Eastern restaurants to offer distinctive breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Owners Mike and Nancy Hawari are the sole employees of the tiny place, and the waiters/cooks/hosts coddle their customers from entrance to exit with wondrous hummus and a smile rounder than a pregnant woman's belly.

One word to describe this place thats: real. nothing here is fake or processed or deep fried or can give you a heart attack. It's not like every other restaurant in the world. It's fresh real and delicious middle eastern food.

I hate restaurants that make you pay extra for such small meals. Anyway, i shared it... More >>

Try the Fatteh! Slow-cooked garbanzo beans mixed with toasted pita chips, a sea of warmed yogurt, with almond slivers, parsley, sumac and a touch of olive oil, fatteh is not for the faint of heart.

friendly and beautiful lady. Speaks Arabic too. They provide so many delicious Arabic dishes such as Kabdah (liver) and scramble eggs ( shaksooka)

Good food and a very nice owner!

Their Falafels make the most pedestrian of snacks into orbs of desire: simultaneously crunchy and pillowy, with a rust-colored outside giving way to an emerald-green interior. Love at first bite.
