Fire & Ice
Anaheim, CA 92802
OC Weekly's Description
Fire & Ice lives up to its name both with its ultra-modern décor and and color scheme as well as cool cocktails featuring the burn of good booze. This joint, located in the Garden Walk near the Disney resort features a well-rounded liquor offering, starting with its draft beer selection, which, though small, sports a nice collection of labels including Blue Moon, Guinness and Fat Tire. There's a full bar with a large assortment of tequilas, rums and vodkas-perfect for mixing frilly cocktails. And as if all this weren't enough, there's also a moderate wine selection and massive bottled beer offering. The small space is outfitted with red, sculpturesque wood cutouts juxtaposed with a bar top supported by blue mosaic tile pillars and backsplash. Three flat-screen TVs adorn the walls, and for those who enjoy singing while smoking, there's a large outdoor patio with tons of heat lamps arranged around a roaring fire pit. Here the DJ spins Pat Beneath and Kenny Rogers jams ready for butchering by drunken karaoke fans.
Tips from foursquare
Pretty tight place to eat.
The teriyaki sauce was too salty, but I loved the sesame ginger. Service was excellent.
Hostesses are disorganized and seem poorly trained. Arrive early, even if you have a reservation, to sort out problems.
This place catches a lot of flak from tourists who don't know what a "crowded" restaurant is. The $10 lunch is an awesome deal.
Ask for Kim! She's an amazing server and never fails to keep any size party satisfied!
