There are many reasons to be wary of Irvine's Great Park, but one thing is undeniable: It is pretty cool being 400 feet up in the air in a tethered balloon that gives a 360-degree view of the old El Toro Marine Corps Air Station and, depending on the thickness of the fog or smog, much of the surrounding pricey real estate.
