Located in a tiny space with simple décor and no air conditioning, Om Garden is a true vegan restaurant with a "green" feel, both in the cuisine and the design. Even the waitstaff's uniforms are organic cotton. Cleaning supplies are eco-friendly, and food is served in plastic-like containers made from 100 percent cornstarch that begins decomposing after 50 days. The limited menu includes fresh appetizers, main courses, and desserts that are all raw and vegan. So be prepared: A black bean burger does not mean a hamburger with black beans on top. Dishes include a "chakra cheese" appetizer, "blessed broccoli and cheddar" salad, portobello on wheat wrap sandwich, a "happy cow" veggie burger, and several vegan pizza options. All ingredients are local organic, and prices reflect that fact.
