Description

This high-brow bar/lounge is unlike the typical dives that populate the Tenderloin. Its snacking options include ceviche calamari, whitefish-guacamole tacos, gorgonzola-stuffed tempura olives, and half a dozen thin-crusted pizzas (opt for the wild mushroom-truffle oil). It also features a wide variety of house and specialty cocktails, including a classic margarita and a chocolate hazelnut martini. There's a small wine list (both by the bottle and glass), as well as decent draft selections (e.g., Fat Tire, Stella, Sierra Nevada). Regulars really swoon for Olive's 5-7 p.m. weekday happy hour, when they can buy house cocktails for $5 and pizzas for $8.
