From blue-collar bar to neighborhood institution to historical landmark, O'Gara's has called its Selby-Snelling intersection home since the early '40s. It's expanded significantly since then -- the Garage hosts live bands, while their game room occupies the space where Charles Schulz's father had his barbershop -- but it's still unpretentiously local, a St. Paul bar all the way.

Love going to the O'Gara's tent party for St Patrick's Day. Lots of Jag and Red Bull to go around, fun people and great music!!!

We had our 25th high school reunion at this fab spot. 5 schools, tons of people and a band befitting our years. The food was good, the staff was great. I would have a party there again..
