This is one of the Houston Chinese community's favorite dim sum destinations. A crowd of nearly a thousand isn't uncommon on Saturdays and Sundays in the upstairs ballroom. Luckily, a big crowd is a good sign when you're eating dim sum - it means the food turns over fast, so everything stays hot and fresh. But the downstairs dining room where Ocean Palace serves dim sum on weekday afternoons (and seafood at dinnertime) is actually much more attractive.
