OC Great Park Farmers Market 

The perfect temperatures, the cloudless skies, the beautiful locals—OC summer Sundays are the epitome of easy leaving, as long as you stay off the freeway. At the OC Great Park, the recreational grounds (which used to be a military base—and a lima-bean field before that) hosts an extravagant weekly farmers’ market. The park also has large-scale agricultural operations on-site (including a giant strawberry field), the harvest of which is sold at the market. How’s that for local? But there’s much more than hyper-locally grown produce—live music, artisan cheeses, handcrafted honey, baked goods, smoked meats, jewelry and more. It’s a locavore’s paradise.
