Description

A lot of high-end bars in Dallas are aiming to create a 1930s atmosphere for patrons who come in for libations from that era. But Oak, located in the Design District, has skipped ahead several decades with its décor. There's a distinct mid-century feel to the darkly lit room, with low booths equipped with overhanging, silver Arco lamps. The bar, to which drinkers belly up for handcrafted cocktails and a bite, is faded off-white marble with thick streaks of green and red. Even when the dining room is sparse, the bar bustles with chatty bartenders and thirsty locals.
