Description

If Captain Kirk had come to Earth in Nordeast Minneapolis circa 1968 and had wanted to seduce a Polish princess, this is where he would have come. He would have escorted the lucky lass to a sparkly gold booth and impressed her with a dinner that ran the gamut from a chalice of shrimp cocktail to giant steaks to a Pink Squirrel for dessert. Meanwhile, the plastic-asteroid lighting and the crooners gathered around the piano bar would have put the lady in a romantic mood. The coup de grace? Everyone getting all hot and bothered while polka-dancing in the attached lounge. (That's why the captain was a scamp.) Nye's also features an inexpensive bar menu.

    Great food, great drinks. Around dinner time Red and Kitty Forman of "That 70's Show" wouldn't exactly stick out. Perogies!!

    Mostly older crowd. They mix good drinks. The piano bar is a ton of fun. My friends and I often dress like it's 1965 and go drink and sing.

    Was in Minn, for a Vikes game (w/ buddy's from NY) and remembered that Esquire had voted it best bar in the country (a few years ago). Had to see for ourselves. This place blows away most places in NYC! All age groups, the space goes on forever with a different "feel" in almost every room. People are friendly and the staff is on target. Very high energy. Something for everyone. It's like breathing in Red Bull air.
