Nusara is located in what might be the most delicious strip mall outside of Flushing-it sits alongside a Malaysian restaurant, a Cantonese roast meat spot, and two Vietnamese pho places. The menu is large and runs from expertly done familiars like green papaya salad, to the sorts of dishes that non-Thais have to convince the waitress to let them order, like fish maw and anything with blood in it. A big bowl of tom yum noodle soup comes with fish balls, ground pork and thin, triangular slices of pork liver in a completely amazing lime-peanut-fish broth.
Tom yum is usually nothing to write home about, unless you're at Nusara Thai Kitchen, where the peanutty fish broth burbles with rice noodles, triangles of pork liver, fish balls, and ground pork.
