Tucked behind a Half Price Books outlet, this Tex-Mex eatery is the former Casita Dominguez, undergoing a name change and new management. The two dining rooms, one with a small bar, are awash in brown tones. The tables are topped with ceramic tile that make the earthy platters, like the Chef's Special (one beef and one bean chalupa compuestas topped with chile con queso and guacamole) pop and the north of the border cuisine, like the Rayford (three soft tacos filled with fajita meat or chicken and corn with a side of beans and provolone cheese) richer. Coeds can load up for exams with margaritas and the UT Specials, such as the SMU Challenge and Bevo Combo. Gobble 'em and hook 'em.
