Sometimes you have to wear out your shoe leather in the hunt for the best spot. A friend of ours had a broken shank on her new platforms. Despairing, she took them to North 11th Shoe Repair, a shop tucked out of the way in Williamsburg. The shoe was fixed in one day for only $30.
