Way-cheap, very satisfying Vietnamese eats, in a pleasant, casual environment that features red umbrellas hanging upside down from the ceiling and blue walls hung with black-and-white photos taken by the owner's father. The specialty here is pho, a hearty soup of rice noodles and broth, traditionally using beef, but these days also using seafood and chicken. A green papaya salad and/or spring rolls is a lovely way to start the meal; warm banana bread pudding, an even better way to end it.
What Noodles Ranch lacks in the rustic, no-frills, cheap-as-dirt charm you'll find at some of the Valley's pho joints, it makes up for in bold flavors and a classy but casual setting befitting its South Scottsdale address.
