Only the biggest eaters will want to start with an appetizer of satay or crunchy, spicy Laotian cucumber salad. Sure, the noodles are designed for white people, but they're tasty representatives of their genre: Singapore noodles stir-fried with chicken (or tofu, shrimp, or beef) and mushrooms in a peanuty sauce.
