Description

There's nothing fancy about Nick's. But who needs fancy when you can get superb homemade pastas and outstanding pizzas at wallet-friendly prices? Both the fettuccine with sausage and gnocchi smothered with Gorgonzola are remarkable. So are the pizzas, with their wonderful thin, chewy crusts and vigorous toppings. The white-chocolate tartufo is a sweet way to finish up.

The tragedy of this childhood parody of "On Top of Old Smoky" never quite resonated with us until we discovered the meatballs at Nick's.
