Village Voice's Description
For some reason, you can put a non-gay bar in the middle of a gay area and provided it has a generous, human approach to its clientele and looks essentially bohemian it will work out fine. This might be why WXOU Radio works, or it could just be the large clock sporting the brand name of a radio station from out west that adorns the bar. Happy hour, from 5 to 8 daily, reduces everything to about half price.
Tips from foursquare
I wish there were a tunnel connecting WXOU and WCOU, so I could skip every bar in between.
One of NYs finer establishments. Keep it classy with a draft beer.
Cash only. Bring a lot and planning on staying and drinking a while.
If you're still up for more, try ending the night at this dive bar featuring the fewest bankers in the area. Great people watching and cheap(ish) drinks.
