    There's too many great museums in NYC to list, but the Whitney is always an easy choice for more contemporary artwork, and finding new artists that you might not hear of elsewhere.

  • Get here fast because the museum is moving downtown to the Meatpacking District. Their new six-story, 195,000-square-foot building will be designed by Renzo Piano and cost $680 million.

  • Designed by Marcel Breuer, the Whitney Museum's current building opened in 1966. Jacqueline Kennedy attended the building on opening day.
