Congratulations on the 100th year of the Waterfront Barge
This place is neat! If you're up for the trek to Red Hook, Thurs. evenings and Sat. afternoons, cruise this little floating museum for free. It's been docked on Pier 44 since the mid-'90s.
The Waterfront Museum is at Pier 25 for the next week or so! Visit her and Tug Pegasus at the end of N. Moore St. Vote for them both at http://partnersinpreservation.com.
The Tug Pegasus served for 90 years in the Port of New York, through two major technology changes: the adaptation from steam to diesel propulsion, and the switch from riveted to welded construction.
Wonderful museum and great event location! Check out the Fish Soup episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay; the Throwdown was shot on this Barge!
